Bayview Behavioral Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX, is the largest facility for mental health services in south Texas. We provide short-term acute care for all ages, from children through older adults, in the areas of mental health, psychiatric services and substance abuse treatment.
Bayview Behavioral’s staff is specially trained in Trauma Informed Care. Our treatment team works to help stabilize patients in a safe, therapeutic environment, with the goal of returning them safely to their homes.
We want to be the first call, but by no means are we the last stop. Treating behavioral health issues takes time. When a patient is assessed, our team is working to set them up with the right treatment plan, including group and individual therapy, and working out how to get them home.
Our discharge planners work to ensure that patients and their families know what is going on and what comes next every step of the way. Continuing care, with a group, a therapist or a primary care doctor, is always a part of our plan.
